Stipple Scribbles Technique

Discover a new embroidery technique with these cute designs from Stipple Scribbles #12577. The digitizing is a combination of stipple stitches and variegated threads, and the design is stitched on tulle or netting. The resulting embroidery can then be tacked onto your project, such as jeans, curtains, hand bags, dresses, etc. Create dimension on anything! Endless possibilities since these designs do not require your project to be hooped.

General Instructions for Creating a Stipple Scribble

  • Hoop two pieces of wash away stabilizer. Place a piece of tulle over the stabilizer.
  • Stitch the embroidery design. There will be several color changes. Remove the hoop and remove the design from the hoop.

  • Trim ¼" around the design. Wash away the stabilizer and allow the design to dry.

  • Tack to project as desired by using one of two methods: Either use a zigzag stitch with the feed dogs down or use a free-motion quilting foot with the feed dogs down.

You might also use these for a unique and fun greeting card. Simply glue onto the card.
