Layered Leaves Makeover Blouse

by Tari Intardonato

Supplies:

Choose a decorative stitch to stitch down the Princess seams on the back of the blouse. Use a Tear Away Stabilizer on the under side of the blouse when stitching the decorative stitch.

Mark the center of blouse back -- at the top, and at the bottom.

Using an iron press a seam down the blouse back connecting the marks.

Try on the blouse and using printed template line up the template with the chalk marks and pressed seam. Every once in awhile the design may look better not centered. If this was one of those times, skipping this step would have resulted in an undesirable positioning.

Hoop 1 layer of Cut Away Stabilizer in Jumbo hoop. Mark horizontal and vertical center of hoop. Use Temporary Spray adhesive to join the stabilizer to the blouse back using the “new” center of the blouse back.

Check needle for center positioning.

• Stitch design #12485-36, using the recommended thread colors.
• Remove excess stabilizer.
• If you have a basting box feature on your machine use it to help secure blouse to stabilizer.

Back of blouse is completed.
